Opened in 2003 in New York City, 192 Books carries a variety of literature, such as literary fiction, books in translation, as well as in art and photography, film, poetry, music, history, biography, natural history,  science, current affairs, and books for children and young adults. The bookshop also hosts readings by distinguished writers and artists, and a weekly story hour for children on Wednesdays.
