Since its opening in 1975 by the Crane family, Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, has been Rehoboth Beach’s much beloved independent bookstore. Located just a few blocks from the ocean, Browseabout Books is one of my favorite seaside bookshops. The bookstore carries not only a huge selection of books, but also stocks a fabulous collection toys, stationery, and charming gifts.

Open early each morning (at 8 AM or 8:30AM) and 363 days a year, Browseabout Books is always ready to greet book lovers. Every time I visit Rehoboth Beach, I come by the bookstore at least twice each day. My daily beach escape rituals include waking up early, taking my camera for a morning walk by the sea (for sunrise shots), grabbing a cup of coffee from The Coffee Mill, and browsing Browseabout Books, my happy place!
