For this wonderful bookstore find, I have to thank my friend Suebee. She told me a few months ago about the lovely Japan Town in Edgewater, New Jersey. I’ve been to New Jersey many times but I have never visited Edgewater and the Japan Town. Here, not only do you get the Mitsuwa Market Place, a vibrant Japanese market and food hall, there is also a Japanese bookshop right next door. Kinokuniya Books carries both Japanese and English books and many other Japanese sundries as well.

In addition to showcasing local products, the bookstore imports Anime merchandise from Japan that is related to Japanese manga and animations, such as Ghibli, Dragon Ball, Gundam, etc. And if you’re a fan of Manga, their Manga collection is extensive. There are lots of other Anime & Manga related products such as keychains, rubber straps, folders, trading cards, large-scale character figures, etc.

I spent at least a couple of hours filming Kinokuniya Books after a yummy lunch at Mitsuwa Market Place. An afternoon filled with ramen, rice cakes & books. My kind of happy place. Thank you Suebee!
